Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions are designed to be fair to the Craft Beer College team, our partners and our clients. They also recognise the risk of COVID-19 to everyone engaged with Craft Beer College.

The Craft Beer College team are all vaccinated. We expect all our clients to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as well. We may ask to view your vaccination record at the start of a tasting or tour, but will not retain any record of it. This is to keep everyone safe.

As COVID-19 remains a risk, we may request the name and contact details of each person undertaking a tasting or tour; which we will hold consistently with our privacy statement.

We reserve the right to cancel a tasting or tour, or decline a participant, if the Craft Beer College host is concerned that there is a risk of COVID-19. We will cancel a tasting or tour, with no refund given, if a client is not vaccinated, and has misled us.

We also reserve the right to cancel a tasting or tour if a participant does not comply with other aspects of our Health and Safety Policy, designed to protect your Craft Beer College host, all our clients along with our participating breweries and bars.

We will provide a full refund for a tasting or tour cancelled up to 5 days before the scheduled event. Within a 5-2 day timeframe, we will we will provide a partial refund of any amount paid over $100NZ. Alternatively, we reschedule a tasting or tour, or provide a credit note or voucher for a future Craft Beer College activity. There are no refunds for “no shows” on the day of a tasting or tour unless at our discretion or we have evidence of clients receiving a positive COVID-19 test.

Our credit notes and vouchers do not expire. They are not refundable but may be transferred to another person. The face value of a credit note or voucher may be donated to Kaibosh Food Rescue at the holder’s request. Craft Beer College is not responsible for any change in the cost of a tasting or tour over the time a voucher is held.

Privacy Statement

We collect personal information from you, including your:

  • contact information

We collect your personal information in order to offer you a quote, and design your tour or tasting. We will keep this information and may use it to contact you about future events.

We also need to collect the name and contact information of all people who will join you on a tasting or tour. This is to enable contract tracing in case of health and safety concerns, especially in relation to the COVID-19 virus. We ask that you advise participants that we are collecting this information and why. We will keep their information for the recommended two-month period.

If you choose not to provide your name and contact details, we'll be unable to offer a quote, tour or tasting. If you are not able to provide the name and contact details of those joining a tasting or tour, we will not be able to host them.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. You can also ask that we delete it from our records. Health and Safety Policy

Craft Beer College takes the safety of its clients and staff seriously. We support the health and wellbeing of our staff and clients, and we provide tastings and tours in a safe and fun way. We are an inclusive business. We value diversity.

By safe and fun, Craft Beer College means that our tours and tastings will be a safe environment for our hosts and participants. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unwell or have any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus; a temperature above 38 degrees, a sore throat, a cough, or a loss of smell or taste. Also let us know if you have any other concerns about safety or wellbeing.

Craft Beer College will not tolerate discrimination or bigotry in any form; against a person’s gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, politics or physical appearance. Casual comments will be called out. Overt discrimination or bigotry will result in removal from a tasting our tour with no refund given.

We will not tolerate threatening or aggressive behaviour, including sexual behaviour, or excessive drunkenness that would reasonably lead to the denial of service of alcohol. These behaviours will also result in removal from a tasting or tour with no refund given.

Safe and fun also means that Craft Beer College will support its clients to consume alcohol sensibly. We will manage the amount of alcohol we serve. We will encourage our clients not to drink in addition to the alcohol we serve.

Craft Beer College will ensure that the venues we visit during our tours have water available for our clients and we will provide (or ensure) glasses for water are provided in tasting. Our tours will all include food of some form.
